Caitlin Pentifallo holds a PhD in the sociology of sport from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC. Studying in the Socio-Cultural Research Group and with the Centre for Sport and Sustainability, Caitlin's research interests have centred on the impact of sport on social and policy outcomes.
Caitlin has 10 years of experience in the sport sector in different capacities - as a consultant, researcher, director, and academic. Having experience at every level of government and across a range of amateur, non-profit, and professional sport settings, she brings awareness, expertise, and experience to sport's most pressing social questions.
Caitlin has been a major recipient of grant-based funding from the IOC and FIFA, having led one of the largest research projects ever on the social impacts of the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup hosted across Canada, and continues to publish in academic settings on topics including social impact, sport and sustainability, accessibility, and volunteering outcomes related to sport.
A credentialed evaluator with the Canadian Evaluation Society, training in Social Return on Investment, certification in Global Reporting Initiative, training in princlples-based evaluation, and many others, Caitlin brings a combination of academic rigour and deep knowledge of the sport environment to Bingo Impact Management.
